K-12 Sector Services

Minaya Learning Global Solutions has been involved in the K-12 sector since 2007. Dr. Minaya served as Chair of K-16 Education Consortium for several years in Northern California, which supported three school districts in Solano county. 20-25 mentors were funded to provide mentoring and tutoring services to middle school and high school students. As a result more students were able to stay on track to completing high school and more inclined to apply to colleges.

Dr. Guido Minaya was invited to guest lecturer in a Florida teacher preparation education college in 2016 and 2017.

In 2017 Dr. Minaya was invited to guest lecture in Dr. Peter nDiang’ui’s college course on Diversity in the K-12 Classroom. Dr. Minaya brought along elementary school teacher, Adam Tweet, and his 3rd, 4th and 5th graders from a local elementary school to work with the aspiring student teachers. In preparation for the day, the student teachers developed three activities for the elementary school students. This experience gave student teachers real world experience working with diverse populations. The elementary school students benefited greatly from visiting a college campus and from participating in a real college course.

Minaya Learning’s network of K-12 subject matter experts enables us to provide support services in content design and development of on-line courses.
